AGuaS is a grass roots effort to build a bridge between the
citizens of Santa Cruz County and the citizens of Cuba. As
part of that effort, the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors
has adopted a sister municipality ("county") in
the south of Cuba: Guamá. In January and March of this
year, delegations from Santa Cruz County visited Guamá
to develop projects for collaboration and citizen diplomacy.
These areas include: Education, Sustainable energy, Healing
Arts (Health), Culture, Sustainable agriculture.
Projects have been identified in each of these
areas. AGuaS members have met with their Cuban counterparts
and are working to develop programs that serve our mutual
needs. Through this citizen diplomacy, we believe that we
can build a better understanding between Cuba and our country.
You can help us by becoming a member of AGuaS. Your financial
support will help us develop a website and an email system
to better serve members. To join AGuaS, print this page, complete
